St. Francis High choir named state champions for 3rd year

For its third year, the St. Francis High School Choir was named the Illinois High School Association State Choral Competition champions.

Under the direction of Nina Schroeder, more than 40 students sang more than 67 songs at the competition.

And all students scored a superior or excellent rating.

In a twist on tradition, choir students did a "march in" on Tuesday, May 3, at the Wheaton school to celebrate. You can watch the celebration on the school's Facebook page.

St. Francis High School, at 2130 W. Roosevelt Road in Wheaton, is an independent Catholic college preparatory school for young men and women in ninth to 12th grade. Learn more at www.sfhscollegeprep.org.
