Merry Cary parade is just around the corner
The Cary Grove Area Chamber of Commerce will accept final registrations until Wednesday from local community groups and businesses interested in participating in the Merry Cary Holiday Parade Dec. 2 in downtown Cary.

The event is coordinated by the chamber and the Village of Cary. In its 11th year, the Merry Cary Parade is the community kick off to the holiday season.
The event begins with a parade down West Main Street and offers a number of activities for families and children throughout the afternoon. Highlights include free horse-drawn sleigh rides, a children's train ride, a holiday wagon ride, a children's petting zoo, pony rides, free photos with Santa and performances by local school children and Dicken's Carolers.
There will also be a special appearance by Christmas Elves Wally and Victor from Those Funny Little People.
All events are free to the community and paid for by generous local business sponsors.
There will be shopping, booths and a variety of food from The Coffee Station, The Tracks, Peter's Bakery and more.
If you are interested in participating in the Merry Cary parade, bring your application form to the chamber by Wednesday.
