Joann Harms is the taxpayers friend

I vote for Joan Broderick Harms to be re-elected to the District 57 school board. Joann Harms has served the community for the past four years. During the last four years that Joann Harms has served student achievement has continued to rise while at the same time she has actively pursued the reduction of operating deficits through budget deficit reduction initiatives and insisting that the overall strategic plan of the district calls for a balanced operating budget.

Joann Harms has been a very vocal advocate for reduced class sizes which has led to District 57 having one of the best student-to-teacher ratios in the area. This has led to our schools having some of the highest test scores in the state of Illinois while maintaining the lowest cost per student educated in the area. This is a record to be proud of: Increased student achievement and the most efficient use of taxpayer money in the area.

Joann Harms has said no to spending taxpayer money on needless initiatives that do not contribute to student achievement or the overall educational process. A vote for Joann Broderick Harms is a vote for our children and our residents. Joann Harms is one public servant that can help us keep the Business Week award of being "The Best Place to Raise Children in the Nation."

I support Joann Broderick Harms to serve another term on the District 57 school board. She has proved herself in her last term I believe she can do even more given the chance.
