Man killed by train

An Aurora man was struck and killed by a Metra train around 12:40 a.m. Thursday near Naperville. Authorities still are investigating, but say it appears to have been a suicide. The incident occurred near North Aurora Road and Ogden Avenue.

Three station clerks cited

Aurora police say three of 13 businesses checked at random Wednesday night sold tobacco products to an underage person working with undercover officers. Police said they concentrated on establishments near schools. Clerks at the Shell gas stations in the 2100 block of Ogden Avenue and the 0-99 block of South Route 59, along with a clerk at the BP station in the 2500 block of Route 34, were served with notices to appear in court for delivery of tobacco to a minor.
