Police hunting robber

Glendale Heights police are searching for a robber who escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash Wednesday from a 7-Eleven store at 1397 Glen Ellyn Road, authorities said Friday. Police said the man, wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt under a black leather jacket, entered the store about 3 a.m. and implied he had a weapon in his pocket. He ordered the clerk to open the cash drawer and then grabbed the money. He fled north on foot and appeared to enter a vehicle about a half-block away at Armitage and Davine. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Detective Mike Huff at (630) 909-5455. Callers may remain anonymous.
