Incumbents plus Narot the best choices in Lisle District 202

As school districts in Illinois face the challenge of raising educational standards amid the growing pressures of a shifting tax base and declining revenue streams, it is important that school boards have experience on their side in making those decisions. In Lisle Unit District 202, three experienced incumbents - Pam S. Ahlmann, Patrick Joseph Sarb Sr., and Bob Tarasewicz - deserve our endorsement for their efforts to build a cohesive and cooperative board. Each brings considerable expertise and a diversity of ideas to the board, yet they have a history of making decisions in the best interests of school children. Their educational and professional backgrounds are impressive.

There are four 4-year seats available in District 202, and three other fine candidates: Greg A. Belina, Tim Corrigan, and Amy Narot. Picking the right one for that final spot is as difficult as deciding which kindergarten teacher is best for your child. It's not easy, and they all could do the job. Belinda has expertise as a technology supervisor, and Corrigan's experience in human resources would be valuable in negotiations and consensus building. In our view, a very slight edge goes to Amy Narot with her impressive volunteer commitment in the community and her experience in making difficult decisions in the corporate world. Voters are fortunately to have such good options.
