In the spring, permanent repairs will be made as part of the tollway's widening and repaving project along I-88 from North Aurora to Oak Brook.

Three arrested in burglary

Two men and a woman were charged with burglary after police said they stole a flat-screen TV and other electronics from an Arlington Heights apartment. The men - Kevin Woods, 21, of Elk Grove Village, and Vernon Thompson, 24, of Glen Ellyn - broke into a friend's apartment in the 2200 block of South Goebbert Road about 11 p.m. Saturday while Gina Gerardi, 22, of Glen Ellyn waited outside in a getaway car, police said. Around 12:40 a.m. Sunday, police in Glendale Heights pulled the trio over with the stolen merchandise still in the car, authorities said. Gerardi posted her $1,000 cash bond and was released from jail on Monday. Woods and Thompson were unable to post bond, police said.
