Streamwood man found dead in Roselle Fire Dept. lot

A Streamwood man, 47, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound to the head Monday in Roselle, police said. Just before 2 p.m., Roselle firefighters saw the man slumped over in a vehicle parked in the Roselle Fire Department lot at 100 E. Maple Ave. and called officers to the scene. Police said the man was dead when they arrived and a preliminary investigation revealed the gunshot wound. The weapon was found inside the vehicle. Police said and they continue to investigate the death, but are not looking for a suspect. "The community should not be concerned for their safety," said Administrative Sgt. John Lawson.
