Mustangs win twice out West

Mundelein's boys basketball team soaked it up in sunny San Diego this week.

Winning a pair of games was the icing on the cake.

Mundelein defeated Escondido (Cal.) 87-32 on Saturday, as Ben Brust scored 21 points and Nick Delaquila added a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Mundelein (9-8) beat San Dieguito (Cal.) 68-36 on Friday.

The Mustangs return to action - in Illinois - when they visit Stevenson on Saturday night.
