Kids, show off your canine at dog show

Is your dog the smartest? Happiest? Most loved? Or best fed? Does he or she have the longest ears? Shortest legs? Loudest bark? Show off your best friend and let your doggy be the star of the show as the Cary Park District hosts a kid's dog show. Pure mutts and pure pedigrees alike are welcome to compete of a variety of honors where all dogs win a prize.

The show will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 25 at the Community Center Park located across from the Community Center at 255 Briargate Road, Cary. Dogs must be on a leash at all times and be able to interact with other dogs and humans. The contest is open to children ages 5 to 13 and their dogs of any age and size. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Space is still available. Preregistration is required. Registration is $5 for residents and $8 for nonresidents child/dog team and is accepted at the Cary Park District Community Center, 255 Briargate Road, Cary.
