Flyers to sponsor annual holiday party for kids
It's mid-December, when a child's thoughts turn to Santa, Frosty … and baseball.
The Schaumburg Flyers will be holding its annual Kids' Holiday Party from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Alexian Field, 1999 Springinsguth Road.
There will be appearances by Flyers players, team mascot Bearon and Santa himself.
Admission is free and all children 12 and younger will receive a gift from the Flyers.
There will be crafts for kids, stadium tours, autographs and refreshments.
Attendees are asked to bring a new gift for Toys for Tots to help kids in need.
The holiday party also will be a chance to enjoy big discounts on tickets for the 2008 season.
A Flex Plan Booklet, containing 15 undated ticket vouchers for the season, will be on sale for $99, though the regular price is $140.
After Saturday, the booklets will cost $120 each until Dec. 21, when they'll return to the full price. This offer is valid for reserved seats only and not valid with any other offer.
The Flyers box office will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Its normal winter hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
