WildStangs to show robots at national engineering festival

The WildStang Robotics Team, housed at Rolling Meadows High School and comprised of students from Rolling Meadows, Wheeling, Prospect, and Elk Grove High Schools is traveling to Washington, D.C., Thursday, Oct. 21 to Monday, Oct. 25, to participate in the first USA Science and Engineering Festival being held on the National Mall.

Chaperones and several engineering mentors from corporate sponsor Motorola Inc. will join 23 students at the event. The team will demonstrate several different robots, representing FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), the parent organization for the FIRST Robotics Competition that the WildStang Team participates in every year. Team members will learn about career options by visiting the more than 500 exhibits.
