Des Plaines Park District forum on pool project

The Des Plaines Park District will conduct a public forum on its Chippewa Pool project from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3 at Prairie Lakes Community Center, 515 East Thacker St.

The 40-year-old neighborhood pool, located in Chippewa Park at 197 North 8th Ave., is scheduled to be rebuilt as part of the park district's capital improvements plan. Information on financing, timeline, conceptual plans, and possible features will be available for public review.

Preliminary plans for the pool include six lap lanes and a zero depth entry with water play equipment. Public input is encouraged at the forum or by emailing pr@desplainesparks.org.
