Scouting Mundelein at Stevenson

Last week: Mundelein lost to Libertyville, 48-7; Stevenson def. Warren, 24-7.

Outlook: Stevenson hasn't missed a beat under first-year head coach and former Bill Mitz assistant Bill McNamara, whose Patriots took command early against Warren last week. Stevenson built a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and was up 21-0 at halftime after quarterback Kevin Earl tossed his second touchdown pass of the game to Stephen Salata. ... The Patriots have outscored Highland Park, Glenbrook South and Warren by a combined margin of 108-34. ... Mundelein played competitively against Marmion in Week 2, but the Mustangs fell behind early against Libertyville last week and were never a threat to repeat last year's Week-9 upset of the Wildcats.
