Roth puts needs of residents first

Streamwood's Mayor Billie Roth has more than proven that her "hands on" leadership style works. Billie was elected during a time when Streamwood was on the brink of financial disaster. Once elected, she hit the ground running and immediately began to change the focus of the board from trustees with personal agendas and special interests to a board meeting the needs of the community. Village board meetings had lost all sense of organization and efficiency. Getting things done had long been forgotten.

Streamwood grew from "blue collar" modular homes to middle income housing for "young professionals" developed west of Route 59. Vision and creativity provided by Mayor Roth planned for the need of additional village services that matched its rapid growth.

Mayor Roth has time and again shown that she is willing to put her responsibilities as village president first in order to ensure that the needs and interests of all of Streamwood's residents are being met. Moreover, her leadership style has made it possible for Streamwood to become the comfortable living environment that it is today. Streamwood is now a place where people from all cultures and backgrounds come to live and work together. Mayor Roth has developed strong relationships with the park district, chamber of commerce and library to make sure Streamwood provides all the services that residents expect from government in these times. Our state is in desperate need of the unique and persistent leadership style of Billie Roth.

Please join me in supporting Billie Roth for state representative in District 44 on Nov. 2.
