Four file in Fox River Grove

Four candidates submitted their candidate petitions for trustee Monday in Fox River Grove.

There are a total of four seats available on the six-member board.

Incumbent Trustee Steve Knar, Planning and Economic Development Committee Chairman Michael Schiestel and Parks Commission member Joanna Colletti handed in petitions for three, 4-year trustee seats.

All three handed in their packets when the village clerk's office opened at 8:30 a.m. Monday, so a lottery is scheduled for 9 a.m. Dec. 21 to determine who gets the top position on the April ballot, Village Clerk Donna Brouder said.

Another incumbent, Suzanne Blohm, filed later Monday for the lone two-year term.

Two-term incumbent Duane Figurski said he will not seek another term. The other incumbent, James Tuman, had not yet filed as of Monday morning.

Candidates have until the end of the day Dec. 20 to hand in petitions.
