Yoga at park

'80s dance fundraiser planned

The Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association benefits from an "I Love the '80s" fundraiser and danceathon from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hannah Beardsley School, 515 E. Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake. Participants are encouraged to raise at least $30 in pledges and wear 1980s-style clothing. The event will include a catered buffet, dancing and raffle. Adults must accompany kids 8 to 15, but kids 16 and older can attend alone. Call (815) 459-0737.

Kaneland retirement reception

A retirement reception for Kaneland School District 302 Superintendent Charles McCormick and Sharon Sabin, administrative assistant to the superintendent, will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in the library at Kaneland High School, Keslinger and Meredith roads, Maple Park.
