Bradford makes good first impression
ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis Rams' first look at Sam Bradford on the field reaffirmed their decision to take him with the top pick of the NFL draft.
After the first practice of a three-day rookie minicamp Friday, coach Steve Spagnuolo complimented the former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback's poise and take-charge attitude. The Rams issued abbreviated playbooks to their draft picks last weekend, and Spagnuolo said Bradford appeared to have absorbed the information.
But the coach again was noncommittal about the Rams' plans for easing Bradford into the lineup, judging that question way too premature.
Bradford said he was so excited and nervous before the first workout. He described his initial experience as a "blast."
