Fremont Wildcat Poms take first in Vernon Hills

The Fremont Wildcat Poms squad won first place in a December competition.

After many long hours of practice and dedication, the girls' hard work paid off at the Hawthorn Spirit Invitational in Vernon Hills. The Wildcat Poms competed against seven middle schools for the first-place title. In the end, the Fremont Wildcat Poms squad walked away with a first-place trophy. The judges scored the team high on its originality of the routine as well as the energy and talent displayed by the girls. The first-place trophy is now proudly displayed at Fremont Middle School.

Pom squad girls included Lexi Brown, Kate Chuma, Libby Chuma, Abby Denson, Alana Dickens, Emily Edicola, Makenzie Feeney, Anna Ferrigan, Natalie Fiocchi, Ani Ipjian, Erin Popielewski, Taylor Pullen, Zoey Rosuck, Kaila Saunders, Kelly Vander Ploeg, Clair Whitemarsh and Courtney Wuss. Kimberly Pratscher coached the team.
