Last year: 5-19, 2-10, seventh in West Suburban Silver; lost 72-62 to Urban Prep Charter in Class 4A Hinsdale South regional quarterfinals.

Scouting report: The Red Devils are a much different team from a year ago when no experienced players returned. Garvin and Anlauf are back to lead an experienced group ready to bring many more wins to the program. Garvin was an all-Silver player last year after averaging 15 points, while Anlauf posted a couple games of 25 points. Owens got a bunch of playing time at the point. Six-foot-seven Bunting and 6-6 freshman Matt Rafferty make the Red Devils tough in the post and should help loosen things up for scoring to come from inside and out. “We’ve got a lot of weapons,” Latorre said. “That’s what is going to make it fun to coach.” Hinsdale Central needs to recover from early-season injuries to Strumillo and Hamilton.
