Cary, Fox River Grove welcomes trick-or-treaters Saturday

The Cary Grove Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting Halloween Walks on Saturday, Oct. 29.

Cary’s annual Downtown Halloween Walk from 11 a.m. to noon Children will line up on Jandus Road and trick-or-treat at participating downtown businesses down Jandus and West Main Street. West Main Street will be closed during the event and traffic will be detoured around downtown. The Halloween Walk has attracted 300 to 500 local children for the festive parade.

The Fox River Grove Halloween Walk will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Stone Hill Shopping Center area, routes 14 and 22. Lineup will begin at Leader Ace Hardware and ACE Rental Place and proceed to Dominick’s, then continue at Panera Bread.

The Halloween parades will be led by Miss Cary 2011 Erin Alleva, and Miss Fox River Grove 2011 Leslie Michaelchuck. Parade routes and details are available at carygrovechamber.com. There is no charge to participate in either walk. For information, call (847) 639-2800.
