Des Plaines parks appoints new golf supervisor

Ÿ The Des Plaines Park District appointed Tom Hejnowski to assistant golf supervisor. Hejnowski has worked at the Golf Center for the past 8 years as a part-time facility manager, supervising a staff of more than 25 employees.

He has extensive front desk customer relations experience, general maintenance experience working on the automatic tee-up system, ball cleaners and washers, and the golf ball picker vehicle, and has Pediatric Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificates.

Hejnowski has been employed as an EMT-paramedic for Advance Ambulance in Chicago since October 2008, and has worked at Top Golf in Wood Dale on the maintenance staff. He will report to Brian Panek, manager of golf and facilities, and work out of Golf Center Des Plaines and the Lake Park Golf Course.

Ÿ The Chicago Northwest Suburban Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi announced the election of Joyce Bryan Strout of South Barrington as an international vice president of AOII. Before her election, Stout served international as regional director, foundation ambassador and centennial committee member. She currently serves as the corresponding secretary and Panhellenic alternate for Chicago Northwest Suburban Alumnae Chapter.

The chapter is also announced that Dotti Hayes Cutlip of Arlington Heights received a Rose Award at the Alpha Omicron Pi international convention held in Tucson, Ariz. This award is a thank you to loyal alumnae for their lifetime commitment and dedication to AOII. Cutlip has served as her alumnae chapter president and as president of Chicago Northwest Suburban Panhellenic.
