Celebrate Easter April 16 at Addison Park District

Hop on down to Community Park Saturday morning, April 16 for the annual Easter Egg Hunt and pancake breakfast.

A pancake breakfast, hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Addison, will begin at 8 a.m. inside Community Rec Center, 120 E. Oak St.

Breakfast will be served until 11:30 a.m. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at Addison Park District's Community Rec Center or Club Fitness.

After hiding more than 5000 candy and toy-filled eggs outdoors at Community Park, the Easter Bunny will be available for photos with children of all ages from 8:30 to 10 a.m.

The Easter Egg hunt will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. and historically is over within 20 seconds. The public is invited to this free, community event. Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras and children to bring an Easter Basket to collect all of the eggs.

New for 2011, the Addison Park District will host a Tweens and Teens Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, April 15 at Community Park, 120 E. Oak St.

This egg hunt includes a golden egg which contains an extra special surprise! Each participant must bring their own flashlight. This event begins at 8 p.m. There is a nominal participation fee for this event and early registration is recommended.

Four-legged children are invited to the first annual Doggy Easter Egg Hunt at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 15.

Dogs must be kept on leashes as they sniff for doggy treats hidden inside plastic eggs hidden all over Centennial Park, 1776 W. Centennial Place. There is a nominal participation fee for this event and early registration is encouraged.
