Party Hash Brown Potatoes

2 cans (101/2 ounces each) condensed cream of chicken soup

2 cups sour cream

1 cup chopped onion

1 teaspoon salt

½

teaspoon pepper

2 pounds cubed, frozen hash brown potatoes

2 cups sharp cheddar, shredded

2 tablespoons butter, melted

1 cup cornflakes, crushed

Grease a 9- by 13-inch pan.

In a large bowl combine soup, sour cream, onion, salt and pepper. Mix in the potatoes and cheese; spread in pan.

In a medium bowl combine butter and cornflakes and sprinkle over potatoes. Bake, uncovered, 1 to 11/4 hours, or until bubbly and golden brown.

Serves 15.
