Register now for Wheeling Park District Preschool

WHEELING, IL, 7/26/12: The Wheeling Park District Preschool is accepting registration for fall classes through Friday, August 17. Both morning and afternoon sessions are offered for three- and four-year-olds. Children turning three between September 2 and December 31, 2012, are eligible for the two-day-a-week morning class developed to encourage the transition from home to school. Classes start the week of September 4.

The Wheeling Park District Preschool is a safe, clean facility featuring a new, secured fully accessible and ADA-compliant outdoor playground and indoor gymnasium. Spacious, kid-friendly classrooms are equipped with Learning Centers for math, writing, reading, art, science, and dramatic play. Every Preschool classroom also has a toddler/youth-sized restroom facility.

The experienced teaching staff fosters a “children learn through play” philosophy and maintains an 8-to-one student-teacher ratio. Activities in art, games, storytelling, cooking, movement, and songs help children develop self-control, physical coordination, and social skills. Children are exposed to letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and readiness skills in an encouraging and nurturing setting that shapes their love for school.
