Free Music in Deerfield Parks this Summer

Deerfield Park District again presents free musical entertainment in the parks this summer: Summer Sampler, on Sundays at Mitchell Park and Eat to the Beat, Wednesdays at lunch time in Jewett Park.

"SUMMER SAMPLER"

On Sundays, from 5-6:30 p.m. at Mitchell Park, everyone is invited to come out, relax, picnic or get pizza from Il Forno's, while listening to a variety of great singers and bands. These “Summer Sampler” concerts feature the following artists by date.

JUNE 17 – PAMELA ROSE AND WINDY CITY COUNTRY

Pamela Rose and Windy City Country has a unique contemporary style that recreates country classics as well as jams the hottest current hits of today.

JUNE 24 – FLAT CATS

The Flat Cats play a range of vintage and modern music routed in the hottest swinging jazz and blues.

"EAT TO THE BEAT"

On Wednesdays, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Jewett Park Pavilion, young children will be entertained by singers, entertainers, musicians and other performers. Attendees are invited to bring a picnic lunch and/or buy concessions from sandwiches and salads to beverages and ice cream for Cookers Red Hots during these “Eat to the Beat” events. These concerts feature the following artists by date.

July 11 - Joel Frankel

Singer, songwriter and musical entertainer, Joel is “a big kid who's been entertaining smaller kids and their parents for two decades. Come out and enjoy his fanciful songs.

July 18 - Steve Beno

Steve's acoustic show offers musical surprises that will have everyone singing, smiling, dancing and playing. Each show has the audience on stage not only singing, but helping craft original new songs.
