Happy hour for pups and owners set for June 29 at Meineke Park

Sips and barks are featured at a unique happy hour.

Schaumburg Park District will hold Yappy Hour on June 29 at Meineke Park, 220 E. Weathersfield Way. From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., adults will enjoy award-winning wine samples from Lynfred Winery, children will create craft projects, and pups will participate in an agility course and bob for hot dogs. Plenty of cold soda and beer will also be available for guests to stay cool.

Participants must be 21 years of age to drink alcohol. A copy of each dog's shot records must be brought the day of the event.

Resident costs are $12 for adults with beverage, $5 for adults without beverage and $3 for children. Non-resident costs are $18 for adults with beverage, $11 for adults without beverage and $5 for children. Dogs are free.
