Have a campground of fun at the Safety Park Camp Out

Grab a flashlight and enjoy an afternoon of camping!

There's fun to be had for children ages 3 and older at Schaumburg Park District's new Safety Park Camp Out. From 1 to 3 p.m., June 23, camping tents will be set up for various activities including crafts, stories, songs, games and s'mores at Ken Alley Safety Park, 421 N. Springinsguth Road.

Families may bring their own tent to pitch and one sleeping bag or blanket. Participants are encouraged to apply sunscreen and bug spray before arriving.

The fee per family is $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents.
