Lerner paces Stevenson victory

Brett Lerner’s 7 kills paced the Stevenson boys volleyball team’s attack in its 25-10, 25-16 win over visiting Antioch in North Suburban Conference action Thursday night.

Stevenson (6-1, 2-0) also received 3 kills from Mitch Robinson, 3 aces from Aaron Applebaum and 8 digs apiece from Applebaum and Robbie Redman. Scott Feldman dished out 10 assists.

Karl Nettgen had a pair of kills for Antioch, and Ian Keller collected 11 digs. Joe Lombardo served for 9 points for the Sequoits.

Lakes d. Waukegan: Chase Binkley slammed 8 kills and Richard Galat dished out 18 assists, as the Eagles won 25-17, 25-15.

Lakes (4-5) also received 11 digs from Sean Donavan, 3 aces from Tim Gorski and 2 blocks from James Olson.
