Meet 'Da Coach' at Child's Voice fundraiser
Mike Ditka and MyMVPs.com will host to a fundraiser to help children with hearing loss at Child's Voice on Monday, April 30, at Buffalo Wild Wings in Warrenville.
Child's Voice is a Wood Dale-based nonprofit organization that provides listening and spoken language education for children with hearing loss from across the Chicago area.
MyMVPs.com, part-owner Ditka and founder, Mark Monaco, will donate a portion of the proceeds that night at the restaurant, 28241 Diehl Road, to Child's Voice.
Families and individuals are invited to the event to support Child's Voice, meet Ditka and raise money.
“We are so excited to partner with MyMVPs.com and Coach Ditka,” said Laura DiStazio, Child's Voice Parent Association president. “To find an organization and individuals, like the coach and Mark (Monaco, founder of MyMVPs.com) that are interested in helping others, is an amazing thing.
“As a mother of a child attending Child's Voice, finding funds to make these amazing programs happen is a priority, and I'm excited about this fun opportunity to partner with a community impacted by Child's Voice.”
MyMVPs.com is an online sports community for amateur athletes of every age and sport. This unique site offers the opportunity for amateur athletes to share their profile, videos, pictures and other sports-related stats with fans, coaches, teammates and rivals.
“We know this kind of event can make a difference,” Monaco said. “For charities, like Child's Voice, every dollar counts and if we can help them raise some of those dollars, we're happy to do it. When I learned about the impact Child's Voice makes in the lives of the children involved, I knew that we had to take this opportunity to benefit these kids and this community.”
All are welcome to attend the MyMVPs.com fundraiser for Child's Voice from 6 to 10 p.m. at Buffalo Wild Wings, 28241 Diehl Road, Warrenville.
For 16 years Child's Voice has been the premier listening and spoken language program in Chicago and the surrounding area.
Child's Voice has grown from a small program serving only six students to a thriving, comprehensive facility providing services to more than 100 children with hearing loss, from birth through age 8, and their families.
The mission of Child's Voice is to empower children with hearing loss to be successful in all educational and social settings by optimizing their listening, speaking and academic skills.
