Fremd finishes another perfect West run
Fremd completed an unbeaten run through the Mid-Suburban West in girls water polo by delivering a 15-1 victory over Palatine on Tuesday.
It’s the fifth straight season no one in the league has beaten the Vikings (22-2, 10-0) in the regular season.
Lauren Zambelli and Sam Matuszewski produced 3 goals each, and KC Hutmacher, Breanna Anderson and Taylor Spoonholtz had 2 apiece.
Nicole Theis scored for Palatine (10-16, 3-7).
Barrington 13, Conant 12: The visiting Fillies produced a victory that kept them alone in second place as they wrapped up MSL divisional play.
Kate Luedtke had 5 goals, Lisa Danhauer 3 and Catherine Byron 2 for Barrington (17-5, 7-3).
Andrea Cobb and Kristi Burke both had 4 goals, and Jessica Southern had 3 for third-place West finisher Conant (18-8, 5-5).
Brooke Fanslow made 8 saves in goal for Barrington, and Jessica Davis had 9 for Conant.
Schaumburg 11, Hoffman Estates 4: Addie Reis and Kristy Bessler both scored three times as visiting Schaumburg (11-12, 5-5) won to finish in a third-place tie with Conant in the MSL West.
Kasia Serwin had all 4 goals for the Hawks (4-24, 0-10).
Buffalo Grove 13, Elk Grove 9: Julie Pater produced 6 goals as the the visiting Bison edged the Grens. Margaret Lotzer had 4 goals and Sara Fasching 2 for BG (18-9, 8-2), which finished second in the MSL East.
Kathryn Noonan led the way for the Grens (7-16, 3-7) with 5 goals, and Natalia Struck had 2.
