Send a kite soaring May 6 at Bock Park

Go fly a kite at Schaumburg Park District!

Bock Neighborhood Center and Park, 1223 W. Sharon Lane, will host the annual Flying 4 Kids, a free statewide kite fly for all ages, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., May 6.

“This event gives families a chance to have fun and support their local park district,” said Special Events Supervisor George Grey. “Families are encouraged to stop by Bock Park and picnic during the kite fly.”

Flying 4 Kids is held to raise awareness for the Park District Youth License Plate program which raises funds for youth after school programming at Illinois park districts.

Participants can bring their own kite or build one with a kite making kit. Participants must bring a picnic lunch.
