Kirker, Jacobs knock off Barrington
Jacobs 4, Barrington 3: Jacobs senior Katie Kirker made it 2 straight Tuesday in her return from a 2-year ACL absence, as she and the Golden Eagles upended Barrington 4-3 in an errorless game at Barrington’s Fields of Dreams. Kirker struck out two and walked one while scattering 6 hits. Maggie Hansen had a double, triple and 3 RBI for Jacobs (2-0), which will play an unscheduled game at Geneva today.
Hampshire 12, ACC 0: Tiffany Bentley and Jordan Hook each had 2 hits as the Whip-Purs (12-0) rolled to a nonconference win. Jen Hurst allowed 6 hits with 2 strikeouts and 1 walk to earn the win.
Sycamore 9, Burlington Central 8: Bekah Harnish and Brooke Gaylor each hit home runs for the Rockets, but Sycamore scored twice in the top of the seventh inning to win this nonconference game. Rebecca Roscher (3-for-4) had 2 doubles for BC (0-1), Sarah Kisch was 3-for-3 and Angie Morrow was 2-for-4 with a double. Gaylord suffered the loss in the circle.

Judson splits: Sarah Boyer threw a no-hitter in Game 2 as Judson defeated St. Francis 1-0 in CCAC play. The Eagles (10-9, 1-1) lost the first game 5-4.
