$120K awarded to local nonprofits

The CVS Caremark Charitable Trust, a private foundation created by CVS Caremark Corporation, today announced that it has donated a grant to Addison, IL-based Northeast DuPage Special Recreation Association.

NEDSRA provides recreational and leisure programs for adults and children with disabilities in partnership with the Addison Park District, among other park districts.

The grant is part of nearly $120,000 that the CVS Caremark Charitable Trust is awarding to four nonprofit organizations in Illinois, which is part of $3.3 million that is being awarded to organizations nationwide.

Additional local organizations receiving grants include: Family Health Partnership Clinic, Woodstock; La Rabida Children's Hospital, Chicago; and Local Initiatives Support Corporation, for Illinois (LISC), Chicago.

These grants are part of CVS' overall commitment to supporting organizations helping children with disabilities and those who are under-insured or uninsured.
