Lake Villa Township Job FairLake Villa Township hosts a job fair on Saturday, Jan. 16, from 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Lake Villa Township West Campus (formerly Gavin North School), 37850 N. Route 59, Lake Villa. A wide range of career and job opportunities will be represented including professional, hourly, technical and nontechnical jobs, in addition to summer and part-time jobs. Employers include The Lake County Fielders, Lake County Forest Preserve District, Allendale and the United States Census 2010. The job fair is free for candidates and employers. Doerr's resignation, prompted by a pending out-of-state move, was effective Wednesday. Officials are seeking a community member to replace Doerr. Applicants must be at least 18, district residents and registered voters. Learn how the Prepaid Tuition Program works to fund a college education. The program allows families to lock in current tuition costs and avoid future hikes.
