Free supper in Geneva:The free Third Tuesday Supper at the United Methodist Church of Geneva, 211 Hamilton St., is from 5 to 7 tonight. The menu includes Gayle's Famous Meat Lasagna, vegetarian pasta with marinara sauce, Caesar salad and homemade fruit desserts. Hot dogs and chips are also available as is carryout. Information and menus for several months can be found at thirdtuesdaysuppers.com or by calling the church office at (630) 232-7120.Free tax help: Free tax assistance is available at Waubonsee Community College's Aurora campus from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. The college's sixth annual Volunteer Tax Assistance program will be at 5 E. Galena Blvd. Families with annual incomes of less than $50,000, and individuals earning less than $25,000 a year are eligible. If possible, clients should bring copies of their 2008 tax returns, W-2 forms, all 1099 forms from 2009, photo identification and social security cards for household members. Batavia police officers and firefighters will play against Batavia public school teachers. BHS dance and cheerleading teams will perform. Admission is $4 for adults, $2 for children. Tickets can be bought at Fire Station 1, 800 E. Wilson St.; the school, 1200 W. Main St.; or the police department, 100 N. Island Ave.Sign up for kindergarten:Geneva kindergarten enrollment is from 4 to 7 p.m. March 2 at the elementary schools. Children must be 5 by Sept. 1. Bring an original birth certificate or a certified copy, which will be copied; two documents confirming residency in Geneva, such as a property tax bill, recent utility bill showing address, or a document from closing or rental lease free of contingencies; and photo identification for the parent or guardian, such (driver's license, visa, or passport).
