Kane health department offers program on wells

Are you a homeowner with a well and or septic system? Have you ever wondered how these systems work? Do you know what maintenance has to be performed so that they function properly? Do you know what type of septic system you have?

For the answers to these questions and more, come to the annual Kane County Health Department Well and Septic informational meeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the University of Illinois Extension Center, 535 Randall Road, St. Charles. Check-in and display viewing will be from 5:30 to 6 p.m.

Attendance is free, but space can be limited so register in advance. Register by calling (630) 444-3040. If you must leave a voice mail, give your name, address, and phone number. Deadline is Monday, Sept. 9.

Water well test kits will be provided to attendees at no charge.
