Investigators trying to find cause of Lisle fire
Investigators are probing the cause of a fire that damaged a Lisle house Wednesday afternoon.
No injuries resulted from the blaze in the 2400 block of Acorn Hill Court, which a passer-by reported at 4:48 p.m. after driving to the nearby Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District's Station 4. The station is at 2505 Green Trails Drive in Lisle.
Fire Prevention Bureau Chief Jim French said the fire was mostly in the home's rear. No one was in the house when firefighters arrived.
It took about 30 minutes to control the fire, French said. The cause was under investigation.
Downers Grove and Naperville fire departments assisted Lisle-Woodridge at the scene. The Wheaton and Lombard fire departments were dispatched to cover the Lisle-Woodridge stations.
