Mundelein's hot spring continues

Mundelein's baseball team maintained its hot start to the season Friday.

Southern Illinois-bound Will Farmer hit a 2-run homer, and Michael Metz earned the win, as the Mustangs improved to 6-0 with an 11-1 win over host Webber Township.

Farmer finished 2-for-3, while Mitch Schulewitz, Zach Osisek and Alex Griffin all doubled.

Mundelein won a pair of games downstate Thursday, defeating Centralia 11-1 and Cary-Grove 12-5. Luke Adams was 3-for-3 with a double and triple against Centralia. Other offensive contributors included Metz (2-for-3), Logan Reckert (2-for-2, double), Ryan Dolan (2-for-3, double) and Tony Zamora (double).

Dolan (3-for-4, 2 triples, 4 RBI) and Derek Parola (3-for-4) led the way offensively against Cary-Grove.
