His court date is June 28.bull; Azucena Chavez, 30, of the 1100 block of Barberry, Palatine, was arrested around 4:05 p.m. May 22 at Kohl's, 800 W. Dundee Road, and charged with retail theft. Remillard, 20, of the 2200 block of Birch Lane, Rolling Meadows, was arrested around 2:30 a.m. May 20 on the 400 block of West Algonquin Road after a traffic stop and charged with obstruction of justice and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He gave the arresting officer a false name; the officer found heroin, three drug pipes and syringes in the car, reports said. A neighbor identified three youths as the offenders. Officer spoke with the youths and a 14-year-old boy admitted to the damage. Powell was charged with city ordinance possession of marijuana; Vogt was charged with city ordinance encouraging the delinquency of a minor. Value was estimated at $180.Mount Prospectbull; A 27-year-old Schaumburg man, accompanied by three friends, stole $3,040 out of an ATM at Buffalo Wild Wings, 301 E. Euclid Ave., around 7:30 p.m. May 16, but the man walked into the police station, 112 E. Northwest Hwy., later and returned the money. They were banned from the restaurant but were not charged.bull; A man carrying a clipboard entered a home on the 100 block of North Horner Lane around 12:40 p.m. May 20 while the 79-year-old male homeowner was working in the front yard and his 77-year-old wife was in the downstairs den. She walked up the stairs and was startled to see him in the kitchen. He told her he was upstairs checking a light switch for her husband. He walked out the back door and, when her husband confronted him, the offender said he was just talking to his wife about lawn service. The man was described as a black male, 30-35 years old, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, 200 pounds, and wearing a black or tan baseball cap, dark wind breaker and slacks. He drove away in a newer black and tan SUV or pickup truck with a cap. Nothing appeared to be missing.bull; Burglars stole cash and checks in a bank pouch, GPS unit, small laptop computer, and portable CD-ROM out of a 2003 Chevrolet Astro van in a driveway on the 2000 block of Wintergreen Avenue between 1 p.m. May 14 and 9 a.m. May 16.
