McHenry teen dies after skateboarding accident

A 16-year-old boy from McHenry died Thursday from injuries he suffered in a skateboarding accident Tuesday, according to the McHenry County sheriff's office.

An amublance was dispatched around 4 p.m. Tuesday to the 1700 block of Woodlawn Park Avenue in McHenry. Alexander Baer died Thursday afternoon at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

The Cook County medical examiner's office would not provide details as to the cause of death. The McHenry County sheriff's office is still investigating.
