Local Baseball Star Heads to YU to Play Baseball

Coby Kamish, a Skokie Yeshiva graduate in the class of 2022, announced he will be leaving Israel to attend Yeshiva University.

Kamish, a pitcher who stands 6'1 and was the captain of his Skokie Yeshiva high school baseball team hopes to make an immediate impact on the YU Maccabee baseball team.

Kamish was a member of The Show, a Black American travel baseball team featuring some of Chicago’s best players from the far south side of the city. “Kamish who also plays a stellar shortstop is going to be a tremendous addition to this university both on and off the field,” Kamish’s longtime trainer Gerald Ross said.

The YU Maccabee's are going to be looking to improve after last season and it looks like they will. “Kamish will be determined to bring a winning team there,” said Ross.
