Vista employees, paramedics form Heart of Humans for Go Red Day

A giant “heart of humans” was formed in the lobby of Vista Medical Center West in Waukegan by Vista Health System employees along with paramedic students to support national “Go Red for Women Day.”

Vista has consistently supported this cause that helps bring awareness to heart disease, especially among women.

A number of Vista employees each donated $5 to the American Heart Association for the opportunity to wear jeans on “Go Red Day.”

On Friday, Feb. 3, Vista employees wore red to help raise funds for the 2012 Combined Appeal Employee Giving Campaign.

The Combined Appeal holds several events throughout the year, giving staff the opportunity to raise money for worthy causes.

The “human heart” included a number of students in the 2011 Fall Accelerated Paramedic Class run by the Vista Medical Center East Paramedic Education Program. Students in the program come from throughout northeastern Illinois.
