Glen Ellyn Historical Society names new executive director

The Glen Ellyn Historical Society recently hired a new executive director. According to Mark Lukas, president of the Historical Society, Jeffrey Anderson will assume the position on June 13.

In addition to a masters of arts degree in American History, Anderson brings 17 years of experience at Museums of Cantigny Park where his work included working as a curator and exhibit coordinator as well as interpretation manager at Cantigny's Robert R. McCormick House. He is a published author and has given numerous talks on local history.

"I am excited at the prospect of joining the Glen Ellyn Historical Society," Anderson said. "One of my passions is house museums and Glen Ellyn is blessed with having Stacy's Tavern Museum, one of the finest house museums in Illinois."

"We were very fortunate to have someone with Jeffrey Anderson's credentials to take the Executive Director position," said Lukas, "and we look forward to his leadership moving forward."
