Clearbrook's Shining Star Ball Exceeds Fundraising Goal

Nearly 300 people came together at the Four Seasons Chicago on April 28, 2023, to honor Clearbrook, an Arlington Heights-based nonprofit that serves people with intellectual/developmental disabilities via personalized programs and services.

As the organization's largest annual fundraiser, it typically brings in $1.2 million in support of the mission — to empower those with disabilities to live their fullest lives possible. This year, Clearbrook's Shining Star Ball raised $1.5 million.

"This year's event was truly incredible. The event was energized by a live auction, paddle raise, and dancing, filled with new and long-time supporters. Attendees were excited to come together to celebrate the organization and raise funds for Clearbrook- it was an incredible time," said Anthony Di Vittorio, Clearbrook's president, and CEO.

Proceeds from the Shining Star Ball will help underwrite Clearbrook's Mental Health Centers, a collaborative Program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities served by Clearbrook. Thanks to the generosity of the people who attended the black-tie gala, Clearbrook will be able to continue and expand mental health support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are also diagnosed with mental illnesses.

The Shining Star Ball Committee members were honored for their dedication to the Clearbrook mission and the impact they have had over the past 35 years.

Clearbrook would like to humbly thank all of the Shining Star Ball's sponsors, volunteers, donors, and attendees for their support.
