The Stationery Studio Helps Local Food Pantry for #GivingTuesday

The Stationery Studio (www.thestationerystudio.com) hosted a food drive in November to benefit the Vernon Township Food Pantry. The Stationery Studio delivered the bags and monetary donation on #GivingTuesday, November 28, 2017. Every year The Stationery Studio partners with Vernon Township to help those in need in their community. This year, the need has grown with even more families then ever who rely on the Food Pantry.

"The food pantry serves over 300 families living in Vernon Township, most of whom are senior citizens, single mothers, or recent immigrants," said Daniel Didech, Vernon Township Supervisor. "The Stationery Studio's incredibly generous donation will be used to purchase fresh meat and produce, so any of our neighbors struggling with food insecurity will have access to healthful and nutritious food."

"We are honored to help those in need in the community we work and live in," said The Stationery Studio owner Renee Redman. "As the need grows, this annual food drive becomes even more important to those in our community."

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
