Students can submit art for golf tournament mural

The Glenview-based Western Golf Association is seeking art submissions from students in kindergarten through high school to inspire a mural to be created for the 2023 BMW Championship, Aug. 15-20 at Olympia Fields Country Club.

Given a theme of "Golf in Chicago," students can submit a copy of their original drawing, painting or digital artwork by the end of the day on June 9.

Judges will determine up to three winners, and an artist will use those submissions to create a mural in the pedestrian tunnel connecting the golf club and the Olympia Fields Metra Station.

Winners of the art contest will receive a BMW Championship pack that includes tickets to the golf tournament, merchandise and a pin flag signed by 2021 and 2022 winner Patrick Cantlay.
