Naperville man killed in motorcycle crash

A 45-year-old Naperville man was killed Thursday afternoon when the motorcycle he was riding struck an SUV from behind on I-55 near Bolingbrook.

Illinois State Police said Brian Readus, of the 2600 block of Idaho Road, was riding in the northbound lanes of I-55 just south of Route 53 about 1:30 p.m. when his motorcycle crashed into the SUV.

Readus was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The driver and passenger of the SUV were not injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
