The Mundelein Community Days festival opened Friday with a variety of entertainment.
The Mundelein Park District dancers put on an hourlong performance highlighting the talents of kids in the district's dance program. Island Lake balloon artist Rose Marie took to the gazebo making animals and hats for the kids.
Under the tent, Rob Anderlik of Mount Prospect and Mike Church of Crystal Lake entertained the early afternoon crowd as they enjoyed food from the nearby Mundelein Munch food booths.
Friday also included fire engine rides, a carnival, games and entertainment by Classical Blast and Second Hand Soul.
Mundelein Community Days continues through Monday and includes a 5K run/walk, pet parade, car show, horseshoe tournament, food eating contests and a parade.
