Lisle officer injured during domestic violence arrest
A Lisle police officer was injured during the Saturday night arrest of a resident suspected of domestic violence.
Conner Brophy, 23, of the 4000 block of Main Street, is charged with aggravated resisting a peace officer and two counts of domestic battery. He is being held on $75,000 bail.
Police said the arrest resulted from an investigation into a domestic dispute.
Police said Brophy struggled with officers and eventually fled his residence around 11:45 p.m. Saturday after officers told him he was under arrest for committing domestic battery against a family member.
During the struggle, an officer also suffered an injury to his knee.
Brophy was previously released from DuPage County jail on Aug. 10 after serving a six-month sentence for pleading guilty to driving without a valid license or permit. In that February case, Brophy also was charged with violating a December 2017 order of protection, but that charge was dropped as part of the plea agreement.
Officials said Brophy also was wanted on two outstanding no-bond warrants for felony retail theft.
